Court blocks Arkansas from using lethal injection drug

( CNN) Intention by Arkansas to execute a group of inmates before the conclusion of its month ran into more problems Friday.

Pulaski County Judge Wendell Griffen published a temporary restraining order that stops the district from abusing a certain pharmaceutical for lethal injections. The supplier of the pharmaceutical reasoned it wasn’t supposed to be used for capital punishment.

It’s doubtful what effect the decree will have on the state’s plans to execute the men.
