Michael Phelps is back in the kitty, babe! But this time he’s not the one training…
The mythical 23 -time Olympic gold medalist became a father back in May 2016, and lucky for us, his ridiculously charming son Boomer is ultimately aged enough to start following in his dad’s footsteps.
On Friday the Phelps genealogy announced they would be partnering with Huggies Little Swimmers to civilize Boomer for the 2032 Olympics. (!!!) The #Trainingfor2032 campaign spurs babies around the world to partake in fun and safe water play with their parents, but Phelps further explained its own initiative at a very important and very real press conference.
“Some of the best recollections of my life have been in the water and none more special than the days I deplete swimming with Boomer, ” Michael pronounced while his son was busy embezzling the display and dining the microphone.
“I’m not coaching Boomer to surmount the butterfly just yet, but #Trainingfor2032 includes safe water performance that helps construct comfort and confidence in the water, ” he added.
Phelps, who recently retired after a kick-ass range at the 2016 Olympics, and his wife Nicole really want to help swimmers expand at a young age, and from the reviews of it Boomer is certainly experiencing the water so far.
Though his dad has started biography in the water, Boomer and his patriotic Olympic fashion already embezzled the spotlight from the stands last year, so we have no doubt he’ll be a wizard in the kitty, too.
Phelps’ Olympic teammate Ryan Lochte will likewise be a dad soon, so perhaps if we’re lucky we’ll to have seen another Phelps/ Lochte face-off at the 2032 games.
The world can only hope.
